Austrian Airlines Advertising Account Goes to the Agency thjnk

Austrian Airlines is starting the year with a new advertising agency. In 2019 the agency thjnk will assume responsibility for providing advertising support to the airline. The account includes overseeing the global advertising presence of Austrian Airlines with the objective of further developing it for use in the digital world. The agency replaces the previous account holder PKP BBDO, which looked after Austrian Airline’s advertising activities over the previous five years.

thjnk succeeded in prevailing against renowned agencies within the context of a selection process on the basis of its creative, digital and 360-degree campaign expertise. In addition to its strategic and creative strength, the decisive factor was its competence to develop interwoven ideas for both online and offline activities. “With thjnk we have found an ideal agency partner to further underscore the positioning of the Austrian Airlines brand as a premium carrier. Our Austrian charm will continue to play a particularly important role in this”, says Austrian Airlines Marketing Manager Isabella Reichl.

The thjnk agency group established in Germany in 2012 will serve Austrian Airlines from its offices in Berlin and Vienna, and is part of WPP, the world’s largest marketing service group. In recent years, thjnk has already received several awards for its creativity. Successful brands such as Audi, Coca Cola, IKEA and Romerquelle, the most recent addition, are among the companies included in the agency’s customer portfolio.

The first campaign for Austrian Airlines from the creative minds of thjnk will air in Austria and selected markets starting in June 2019.
