Noticeable increase in demand: Austrian Airlines with additional holiday flights at the beginning of June

Destinations

• Relaxed entry regulations bring noticeable increase in demand for holiday flights
• Additional connections to Italy, Greece and Spain are now bookable

The relaxed entry regulations for Austria and various European countries come along with a noticeable increase in demand for holiday flights. Austrian Airlines will therefore offer additional connections to the following destinations over the long Corpus Christi weekend in early June: Catania, Heraklion, Olbia, Palma de Mallorca, Rhodes and Skiathos. A total of 12 additional flights will be added to the program. Tickets can be booked as of now.

No more quarantine for many countries
Since Wednesday, 19 May, the quarantine requirement has been waived for many countries when entering Austria. It is replaced by mandatory proof of vaccination, testing or recovery. This applies to Greece, Italy and Spain, among others. In addition, entry into these countries is possible without mandatory quarantine. In Greece, for example, travelers only have to register and carry a vaccination or recovery certificate or a negative PCR test certificate.

On the Austrian Airlines website, passengers will find information on travelling in times of corona, mandatory wearing of FFP2 masks, country-specific travel regulations or flexible rebooking arrangements. The information is updated on an ongoing basis.
