Austrian Airlines is offering the route from Klagenfurt to Hamburg also for the upcoming 2024/2025 winter flight schedule. This route will be served on Saturdays from 21 December, 2024 up to and including 22 March, 2025 and thus for a longer period than last winter.
The wet-lease cooperation with Braathens Regional Airlines, which started in the 2024 summer flight schedule, will continue in the winter schedule as well, allowing up to 13 weekly flights between Vienna and Klagenfurt. Connecting flights via the Vienna hub link destinations across Europe and worldwide to the Carinthian economic region and the tourist destination of Carinthia. With the early morning and late evening connection, the attractive option to book day trips from Klagenfurt within the Austrian Airlines network remains available.

Maximilian Wildt, Managing Director at Klagenfurt Airport, emphasizes the good cooperation with Austrian Airlines: “The expansion of the seasonal Hamburg connection introduced last year shows what is possible with the right partner and underlines the confidence in the airport and the Carinthian market. This is a strong foundation for further route development. This connection is of great importance for incoming tourism to Carinthia, but of course it also offers, in combination with the perfect transfer options via the Vienna hub, opportunities for city trips to Hamburg.”
