Austrian Airlines cancels Tel Aviv flights from March 8

Company

• New entry restrictions make approach no longer possible
• Three daily connections are removed from the program

Due to the newly imposed entry restrictions by the Israeli government, Austrian Airlines will have to discontinue its flight connection to Tel Aviv from Sunday, March 8 onwards. The Austrian home carrier will cancel three daily flights until March 28, 2020. Until Sunday, an adapted flight program will be operated to return passengers from Israel to Austria and other countries. The last “returnee” with flight number OS862 will depart from Tel Aviv on Saturday, March 7 at 7:35 pm local time Israel.

Passengers whose flights have been cancelled will be rebooked – if possible– or will receive a refund. Austrian Airlines asks all passengers who have booked a connection in the affected period to check the status of their flight on austrian.com under “My Bookings”. Customers who have provided their telephone number or e-mail address during the booking process, as well as members of the frequent flyer program Miles & More, will be automatically informed about changes in the flight program by SMS or e-mail.
