Austrian Airlines and Eurowings are flying in a new formation and optimizing the internal group connections between Austria and Germany for passengers. Austrian Airlines has been offering the Vienna – Hanover route, previously operated by Eurowings, since the 2021 summer flight schedule. The connection is now permanently included in the route map of the red-white-red home airline. Direct flights to Hanover are offered with a daily frequency of up to two flights and can be booked as of now at www.austrian.com. With the permanent start of the rotation to Hanover, Austrian Airlines is strengthening the hub at its home airport in Vienna. The hub connection is ideal for both tourists and business travelers for further connecting flights. Passengers benefit from numerous transfer options such as to Central and Southeast Europe, the Middle East or tourist destinations such as Malé or Bangkok.
At the same time, Eurowings has taken over the connection from Graz to Stuttgart and now flies the route at least five times a week. Eurowings flies the Linz connection to its largest location in Düsseldorf five times a week. In addition, Eurowings will offer three weekly connections from Graz to the capital of North Rhine-Westphalia from January 10, 2022. From the summer of 2022, Eurowings will operate even more frequent flights on all three connections and will then fly to Stuttgart and Düsseldorf twice a day from Monday to Friday.
