Michael Larivière (51) will take over as Head of Austrian Technik on March 1, 2022. In this function, he succeeds Michael Kaye, who will devote himself to a new task within the Lufthansa Group.

Michael Larivière began his career in the Lufthansa Group in 1994 as Aircraft System Engineer at Lufthansa Technik. In 1997, he joined Lufthansa as Manager Aircraft Specification. In 2004, he served as IFE Program Manager for Lufthansa in Pomona, USA, before holding various positions at Lufthansa Technik in Germany and abroad from 2005. These include, for example, his activities as Business Development Manager at Lufthansa Technik in Kuwait and Oman or as Head of Aircraft Maintenance at Lufthansa Technik Philippines in Manila. In 2014, he was appointed Senior Director Aircraft System Engineering at Lufthansa Technik before moving to Lufthansa CityLine as Head of Technical Fleet Management in 2018.

“I am very pleased that we can welcome Michael Larivière to the team for this challenging task. He is the ideal person to lead our Austrian Technik through the current challenges and to set it up in the best possible way as a modern, efficient engineering and maintenance operation,” said Austrian Airlines Chief Operations Officer Francesco Sciortino.
