• Austrian Airlines wins SKYTRAX “Best Airline Staff in Europe 2023”

Austrian Airlines was once again able to achieve a top ranking this year at the prestigious SKYTRAX World Airline Awards, which took place in Paris on 20 June 2023. After years of crisis, the upswing continues for the Austrian carrier this year: the expansion and modernization of the long-haul fleet, the recent increase in employee numbers and the extensive upgrade of the inflight service offering, being just a few examples for this. Now the Austrian flag carrier is celebrating the next milestone by receiving the Skytrax Award 2023 in the category “Best Airline Staff in Europe”. This places Austrian Airlines in the same league as world-renowned major airlines such as Delta Air Lines or ANA All Nippon Airways, which received this award for the regions North America and Asia.
This is the seventh time Austrian Airlines has been ranked first place, recently in 2018: “We are all immensely proud to have been named European champion in the “Best Airline Staff” category. Especially after the years of crisis, this award proves that our customers highly appreciate our professionalism and can feel the passion for service and hospitality that we are living in our company every day,” emphasises Austrian Airlines CEO Annette Mann. Together with representatives from various corporate departments, Annette Mann received the award in Paris. “This award is a powerful signal for our company, both internally and externally. This year’s win has a very special importance for us, it gives us strength and motivates us even more to perform at our best during the busy summer season,” concludes Annette Mann.
The World Airline Awards
The World Airline Awards are considered a global benchmark for excellence in the airline industry and are often referred to as the “Oscars of the aviation industry.” The awards are not determined by a jury but are based on the results of the world’s largest customer satisfaction survey in the aviation sector, conducted annually by the market researcher Skytrax since 1999.
