The most important Miles & More Retail division is expanding to Austria: From now on, travelers can find a diverse selection of high-quality travel and lifestyle products in a newly opened Worldshop at Vienna Airport. In Terminal 3, Airside, in the area of Gate F, customers can browse the range, get inspired, and collect and redeem Miles & More award miles daily from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Special promotions and limited editions for airline fans
At the store’s opening, customers can look forward to attractive special promotions. For example, there are ten times the award miles on every purchase, 20 percent cash and mile discount on Travelite Airbase Trolleys in various colors, a lucky wheel promotion with instant prizes, and, of course, the popular and typically Viennese Mozarttalers.
Another highlight is the newly launched Austrian Airlines Upcycling Collection. This offers aviation enthusiasts furniture and accessories made from parts of old Austrian Airlines airplanes. In addition to the Aircrafttag keychains made from aircraft skin, there is also a hanging cabinet and a wine rack available, both made from an original luggage compartment door from the Austrian Airlines Airbus A321 with the registration OE-LBD.
“Worldshop stands for inspiring ideas, the highest quality standards, and a unique shopping experience,” says Michael Trestl, CCO of Austrian Airlines. “That’s why we are particularly excited to have a shop in Vienna now and to offer our guests a special selection of co-branded Austrian Airlines products, as well as other innovative travel and lifestyle products. This gives our guests the opportunity to take a piece of Austria home with them, even above the clouds!”
Julian Jäger, Joint CEO and COO of Vienna Airport: “A highlight for all aviation fans! At Vienna Airport, passengers can now get popular upcycled products from airplane interiors and everything they need for their journey. The new Worldshop is ideally located in the departure area of Austrian Airlines and Lufthansa in Terminal 3. Together with Austrian Airlines, Lufthansa, and Miles & More, we are offering travelers a truly unique shopping experience in Austria.”
Worldshop – a success story
Worldshop is a brand of Miles & More GmbH and is a central pillar in the company’s retail portfolio. Started in 2002, Worldshop has become the most important e-commerce platform of Miles & More GmbH. Currently, over 5,800 products from more than 400 premium brands are offered. With limited in-house productions in Lufthansa and Austrian Airlines design, Worldshop becomes a true companion in everyday travel and beyond.
“Our extensive experience in the retail sector and an established process and service provider structure enable us to tailor our products to the needs of our customers and to continue developing them,” explains Johann-Philipp Bruns, Managing Director of Miles & More GmbH and responsible for the Sales division. “The popularity of our products and the 190 billion award miles redeemed since our inception show that it is a logical and important step to expand to other countries with our airport stores and offer travelers a unique shopping experience at the point of sale.”
After flight and upgrade awards, as well as hotel and car rental offers, Worldshop is one of the most used ways to redeem Miles & More award miles. Shopping is possible not only in one of the nine Worldshop stores with more than 870 square meters of retail space at Berlin-Brandenburg, Hamburg, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Munich, and Vienna airports but also online at worldshop.eu, on board of Lufthansa Group Airlines, Swiss (International), Austrian, and Lufthansa, as well as online anytime.
